“I have created this basic Social Media Checklist to check over your profile and see if it is actually working for you?!”
It often becomes a set-and-forget situation, there are too many other things that get in the way! But this is just a reminder that it is important and it’s worth taking the time to review it… because good first impressions are worth a lot!
Maybe your cover image is something you uploaded months ago that looked “good enough” and it’s probably time to give it an update and properly show off what you do!
Your profile picture is one of the first things that people notice on social media so it’s vital that it makes a good impression and people can easily recognise it as you.
It’s important that your business profile looks the part, this is your chance to impress visitors to your page, there’s nothing worse than a grainy photo to make you look unprofessional.
The “About” section
Don’t leave this blank! Give people a quick insight into who you are and what you do.
Link to your website
Ensure people can easily click through to your website and find out more about you. There’s nothing worse than finding a profile you’re interested in but don’t know where to go now to find out more.
Location and hours
Make sure all this info is correct and up to date! Especially during this time of change, you don’t want to leave people confused and wondering where and when to find you.
Custom URL (for Facebook)
Go into the setting to get your easy-to-find & easy-to-share URL so your page looks way more professional & branded (without a bunch of random characters in it!).
So make sure you’re not scaring people away with pixelated images and confusing or missing content! There’s nothing more unprofessional looking than a fuzzy image, or more frustrating than not being able to find basic information about a business.
